Steve Howard
Steve Howard is regarded as a leading private sector strategist and integrator of people and ideas for the public good, both in
Australia and globally.Steve Howard is the founding Secretary of The Global Foundation. In this role since 1998, he has brought to bear an extensive professional and personal network established over twenty five years of involvement in business and civic affairs and public policy formation in Australia and around the world.
Prior to and overlapping with his role with The Global Foundation, Steve Howard has managed his own advisory firm, Global Agenda Pty Ltd. From 1989 to 1995, he was the inaugural chief executive of the Committee for Melbourne, where he lead a renowned renaissance strategy for that city.
From 1987 to 1988, Steve Howard was the chief executive of the Sydney Tourism Marketing Board, setting in place partnerships and strategies between the private and public sectors to promote Sydney as a world city.
Steve Howard is Chairman of the Editorial Panel for Australia Network, the international television service of the ABC, which is broadcast in 40 countries in Asia. He served for many years as an International Councillor of the Asia Society in New York and has served on a number of advisory bodies to successive Australian governments.
In 2004, Steve Howard was decorated with the Order of National Merit by the Government of France for his contribution to France- Australia relations.
