John Corboy

In 1970, John and his wife Kerry, leased their first orchard of six hectares.
Over the next thirty fice years, together with their sons, they have built the business to be one of the larger horticultural operations in Australia.
Presently their company (Corboy Fresh Fruit Pty Ltd) owns and operates four hundred hectares of orchard combined with a large coolstore and packing complex. The operations produce fifty three varieties of fruit covering apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, apples and pears.
John Corboy has had extensive experience in representing horticulture at a national level. He has served on the Apple and Pear Growers and Stonefruit Growers Boards. He has also served on the Board of the Australian Horticultural Corporation and is presently Chairman of the National Fireblight Task Force.
John Corboy was Chairman of S.P.C. Pty Ltd from 1990 to 1995 and was intimately involved in the restructure and listing of the company.
John Corboy is actively involved in the Goulburn Valley Community, having been Chairman of the G.V. Community Fund, G.V. Highway Action Group and Ladders To Success. John is also the co-convener of Foodbowl Unlimited.
